Thanks for your post and your interest. I was with the group for about
2 years discussing the whirpower idea with David. Although we did not agree
on some things I do believe he had a more clear vision of what whirlpower
is. However we did agree on some things and in my ongoing attempt to build
a working model, these are some things I have incorporated.

The whirlpool width to height ratio is assumed to be about 50:1 or greater

The height to output ratio (by my own calculations) is figured to be 25:1
this is the point where bifurcation occurs as if it were a chaotic system,
and this is also where the whirlpool is most efficient (see archived
message #1215)

Around this point in the archives is when alot was discussed and not argued
about concerning whirlpools.

Hello Whirlpower list,
I am new to this list, but am extremely interested in David Dennard's
Whirlpower theories. It is unfortunate that I never had the chance to
discuss this with him personally.
Since there are some 2900 posts that I have yet to muddle through, I
was hoping that some of the more prominent members of the list might
be able to assist me in doing a "Catch-up" of sorts.
My name is Frank Dominic Germano, President of International Turbine
And Power, Inc., of Cody, Wyoming. We are an R&D firm that primarily
works on designing and manufacturing of products based on the (prior)
theories of Viktor Schauberger and Nikola Tesla. We have had amazing
success to date with these units, such as the Tesla Turbine, Tesla
Pump, power systems (hydro, water, geothermal, wave generated, etc.)
and I am now taking a keen interest in attempting to build one of
David's Whirlpower devices.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. As far as I can tell from a
simple preliminary examination of the theory presented - I feel it
does stand a very good chance of working, and generating energy. I
would like to take the time to suggest that this system, if
instatlled below sea level (i.e. below the level of the low tides at
a coastline) may just be practicle - and it may be able to self-
siphon (once the piping is primed, a vacuum should be able to be set
up and self sustain the unit - refilling the water supply and
regenerating the vortex, or "whirlpool" effects)...just off the top
of my head, so far.
We (ITP) does have the proper funding to build one of these units,
on either a large or small scale, so funding is not the limitation.
Understanding this "whirlpower" system - quickly - and effectively
being able to put it in a buildable format is.
Again - any help in doing a quick down and dirty catch up would be
most helpful to me. So start some serious posting...!
