This appears to be a very open-minded group of people, so I don't mind
telling you I was his roommate for a few days on a psych ward at Duke
U. Hospital, maybe January of 1981... he told me some very
interesting things about physics that have never really left my mind.
He claimed to be the brother of Duke basketball player Kenny Dennard.
I googled him and I am sorry to hear he has passed, but from the
milieu here I knew I had found the guy. I will write more if anyone is
interested to hear it..? : ) S

That describes him very well. It's very sad, but very true Steve. David passed away in Feb 2001. He was living in Northern California. You knew him in Durham?...
