Description

Adventure conservation / Landcare group based in New South Wales (Australia). Our volunteers undertake mapping, monitoring and treatment activities which involve whitewater rafting and flat water kayaking as part of programs to eradicate invasive willow species along Australian rivers. Current programs include rivers betweem Sydney and the Victorian Boarder. these include:
Colo River
Mapping and treatment completed 2006. Ongoing monitoring for black willows.

Eucumbene River
Mapping started in 2009. Need to treat and monitor black willows and Common Osier willows and extend mapping.

Goobarragandra River
Mapping completed to Kells Lane in 2005 and some crack willows treated to 2009. Ongoing monitoring for black willows and crack willows and expand mapping and treatment where possible

Goodradigbee River
Mapping and treatment started in 2008. Ongoing monitoring for black willows and expanding mapping and treating

Grose River Mapping and treatment completed 2008. Ongoing monitoring for black willows.

Hawkesbury River
Mapping completed in 2011. Need to treat and monitor black willows.

Indi River
Mapping started in 2009. Need to treat and monitor black willows and Grey sallow willows and extend mapping.

MacDonald river
Mapping completed in 2011. Additional treating required and then ongoing monitoring for black willows.

Murrumbidgee River
Nepean river
Tumut River
Wingecarribee River
Wollondilly River
Deua River
Clyde River
Tuross River

The project intends to do future mapping tasks on Bega/Brogo, Shoalhaven and Swampy Plains Rivers
