I recently updated my subscription for Norton Anti Virus for my Vista
machine. It said that I could install it on two other machines. I
tried to do the reinstall on my Windows 98 machine but it would not
work and not supported under Windows 98.

I only use the old machine a few hours a month and dont want to pay
to purchase the latest Norton (2005) that is supported on Windows 98
or pay to update the Norton 2001 which is currently installed on 98.

I think the solution is to install one of the free AV products that
works fine on Windows 98 and when it is running uninstall Norton.

What free AV do you recommend for this old machine.
