i keep getting popups from a number of web sites here are two examples.
AD.YIELDMANAGER.COM and AD.DOUBLECLICK.NET i've tried every Vista
method, Norton360, Spy Sweeper, Winferno Registry Power Cleaner, Adware
Alert, Yahoo, and a few i can't even remember the name of. I tried
contacting the companies but they require shutting down my protection
so they can place yet another cookie on my system. Which of course goes
away as soon as i start up Norton360 and the other protections. But the
popups keep coming back. Funny how they can't keep the op-out cookie on
my system but they have no trouble keeping the popups on the system.
Anyway the popups always want to link up with my IEFRAME.DLL which i of
course always refuse. Its more annoying then inlaws at thanksgiving.
Someone suggested i go with FOXFIRE and that would solve my problem. I
know zilch about foxfire.
Will i lose my server AT&T ?
Will i lose my e-mail addresses ?
will i lose my yahoo groups ?
Will i lose my bookmarks ?
i really hate to start over. I'm too old & stupid to try anything
complicated let alone start over. Any advice ? Any knowledge on
foxfire ?

I have a feeling Foxfire will not solve your problem. You need to check your pop-up stopper settings in Internet Explorer and if that is Ok and active then...

Can't you just add those two sites to your hosts file? Set them to 127.0.0.1 (or whatever it is) ?...
