Description

WinTopo - a Freeware + Professional Raster to Vector Conversion tool.

WinTopo is useful for conversion of scanned Topographic Map/Engineering Drawing images for saving into drawing files suitable for opening in CAD tools like AutoCAD and IntelliCAD, GIS like MapInfo Professional, and is extensively used for CNC tasks like Laser Cutting, Engraving and even Embroidery.

WinTopo User Group is a mailing list for people who are using WinTopo software, or are interested in raster to vector conversion. All user group members may post messages and questions. Upgrades to the WinTopo software are also announced here.

... WinTopo does not care what coordinate system you are using, it is irrelevant to the conversion process. WinTopo is not involved with mapping projections.

Yes, you certainly need more RAM, much more. Our GIS / image processing machines on XP run with 2 -4 GB of the fastest RAM that the motherboard will take.

... For the size of image you are processing you would benefit hugely from more RAM. Most of your 256Mb will be consumed just by WindowsXP before WinTopo even
