Hi Doris

It sounds as though you need to adjust the contrast and/or brightness of
the image. If some (parts) of the lines are too light then WinTopo will
consider them to be part of the background 'dirt', and ignore them.

You can use another application like Irfanview (freeware) or
PaintShopPro (nearly freeware) to make the contrast/brightness/gamma
adjustment.

If you are intending to do much of this work, then you should try
WinTopo Pro, which has all the features you need under the "Image" menu.
Download it (from www.wintopo.com) and try it out to see how you like
it.

Hi Just downloaded this program. Looks really great. I use bmps, wmfs, emfs to digitize for machine embroidery. Need design with nice solid black lines....

If you are using the non-registered professional version, it will only convert a "sample" in the center of the scan. The freeware version does a fine job on...
