Hi Matt,
We turned to a couple local blueprint supply companies. They had very large
scanners that were able to do what we needed. They could then return them
in TIF and JPG formats.
On a related note, have you visited the USGS web site though as I believe
they have their tops in vector format already, but I could be wrong. I seem
to remember them being in either MapInfo or ESRI formats, but please don't
hold me to that. There's a clearing house out there somewhere that supplies
them in these formats.
Hope you enjoy WinTopoPro though. It's a great product!

Subject: [wintopo] Wide format map scans?
Hello,
I'm new to this group. I am considering upgrading to wintopo pro to
do some vectorizing of USGS topo maps. But first I need some good
quality scans at about 800dpi. I am interested in information for
vendors that do wide format scanning for a reasonable price. What I
need scanned are contour map separates I acquired from USGS. I'm
hoping somebody has had some information they can share with me?
Thanks
