The older hard drive and the older computer used to have about 390 to 400 in
RAM. Even though the CPU was slower, that RAM seemed to make a world if
difference. No matter what the size of drawing, it went...

Was then done altering in a few seconds.

I haven't been using this forum too much. The hard drive with the loaded software took a dump more than a year ago, and have not been too fast at transferring...

... For the size of image you are processing you would benefit hugely from more RAM. Most of your 256Mb will be consumed just by WindowsXP before WinTopo even...

Yes, you certainly need more RAM, much more. Our GIS / image processing machines on XP run with 2 -4 GB of the fastest RAM that the motherboard will take. ...
