Description

"We are on the eve of accomplishments which will be of tremendous consequence to the future advancement of the human race. . . ." -- Nikola Tesla, Syracuse Herald, February 29, 1920

$1,250 WIRELESS ENERGY TRANSMISSION-RECEPTION AWARD

To demonstrate the reality of Tesla's wireless system, a cash prize of $1,250 has been established, to be given to the first person documenting "nonradiative" electromagnetic energy transmission and reception over a distance of ten or more wavelengths using Tesla's wireless method as described in U.S. Patent No. 645,576, SYSTEM OF TRANSMISSION OF ELECTRICAL ENERGY, March 20, 1900.

There is no minimum power transfer requirement, just that needed to activate a sensitive receiving instrument.

It is to be demonstrated that some mechanism or agent other than or in addition to "radio waves" is involved in the transfer of energy between the Tesla coil transmitting station and the Tesla coil receiving station, following guidelines provided in "FCC Methods of Measurements of Radio Noise Emissions from Industrial, Scientific and Medical Equipment"

The qualifications to receive this award are set forth in the Files section as "$1,250 TRUE WIRELESS ENERGY TRANSMISSION-RECEPTION PRIZE RULES.

Re: So much to know.
I would think your coil should operate pretty well for power transmission seeing how the resistance is probably near 10 ohms and at 60kHz.  As long as the

Re: So much to know.
What is the wire gauge of the twin coil setup?  Its hard to tell from the video.  I'm guessing its between 20-28 gauge? Thanks, Charlie ... From: Greg Leyh

Re: So much to know.
Hi Charlie, The twin coil prototypes in the video weren't all that expensive. I built them in my garage. The price difference between a used car and a new
