Dear all,
I'm glad to announce that the DDR Simple API spec has been publised as a W3C's
Proposed Recommendation [1].
At [2] you will find an open source implementation that works on top of WURFL,
UAProf and Device Atlas (see [3] for more info). Such implementation is
currently used by MyMobileWeb [4], Telefonica's open source product for the
development of context-aware mobile applications and portals.
The advantage of using this API, with respect to others is that it will be
possible to change your DDR without recompiling your code and without
committing to an specific solution. Other commercial products are starting to
implement the API. Besides, the API can be used in conjunction with the DDR Core
Vocabulary [5], a minimal, interoperable vocabulary of Delivery Context
Properties and Aspects intended to mobile web development.
Best Regards
