Noctilucent clouds

There is a spectacular display of NLCs this morning. Really high - 30
to 40 degrees of altitude in the sky, quite remarkable for this
latitude, highest I have seen them. Very delicate structures. Now,
03:00-04:00 BST is the optimum time to look. They will probably be
about every clear morning for some time.

A weak display of noctilucent clouds was visible last night, July 13/14, from Edgware, Middx, (0.27 W 51.6 N) in the east before dawn. These are the only ones... 		David Arditti

To answer Stan's question, NLCs are seen between NW and N before midnight (1BST), and between N and NE after midnight. It's just the illumination by the Sun,...
