VP of The VP of Other responsibilities
include: direct membership recruitment/retention programs and customized core
member services, developing member communication programs, leading new member
outreach, both domestic and international, assuming responsibility as
liaison to such AWEA committees as legislative, transmission and siting
committees. The incumbent will also lead the development and
implementation of a comprehensive Core Member Services Program in support of
the Board of Directors and Leadership Council activities. Qualifications:
Degree plus five years experience in similar position is desirable. In
lieu of a degree, a minimum of nine years of directly related, increasingly
responsible experience enabling incumbent to learn principles and practices
needed for job success is required. Applicants should demonstrate the
ability to coordinate all phases of the association’s member service
and benefit programs and be able to work in a team environment.
Qualified applicants must have: experience working in an association with
committees and volunteers; proven budgeting and financial experience, strong
membership and marketing background; supervisory and exceptional written and

Media
Relations & Communications Specialist AWEA’s
Communications team shares the story of wind energy’s hurdles and its
successes every day. Their efforts raise awareness and secure the public
support that will ensure the wind industry’s continued growth and long
term success. As the Media Relations & Communications Specialist, you
will be an integral part of this important work. Under the direction of the
Assistant Director of Communications you will: provide support for a broad
array of media outreach and communications activities; assist in tracking
media requests and ensuring they are fielded in a timely manner; help draft
materials, maintain distribution lists, prepare media events, and coordinate
media and communications activities in support of the industry’s goals.
Qualifications:
B.A. or B.S. degree plus two years of experience, preferably in media
relations or communications. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of eight
years of directly related, increasingly responsible experience enabling incumbent
to learn principles and practices needed for job success is required.
Masters degree in communications, policy or related field is a plus. Must
have: excellent communications skills, both oral and written; excellent
organizational skills and ability to track multiple tasks; a strong
understanding of economic, policy, and other issues affecting wind energy
industry and market, or ability to learn about those issues; the ability to
work independently and as part of a team; and the ability to work with tight
deadlines and manage an ambitious work load. To

Membership
Services Associate The Membership Services
Associate is responsible for front-line responsiveness to members and
customer service fulfillment. This position coordinates the management and
maintenance of member records and will assist with the activities associated
with developing, implementing and coordinating membership recruitment
campaigns, retention programs, and coordinating non-member prospect lists
used for recruitment. The Member
Services Associate will interact daily with internal staff, AWEA members,
prospective members, industry partners, and the general public. Applicants
should possess strong communication skills, be detail oriented, have
excellent interpersonal and database management skills – experience with
iMIS desirable (but not required), knowledge of Microsoft Office suite,
experience in working under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects
with competing priorities, and the ability to work in a team environment and
coordinate all phases of member services. AWEA is a
fast-paced, high-energy organization with a very ambitious agenda and a staff
that is highly motivated. This job may experience high work demands under
tight timelines. Some light travel will be required. While a
Bachelor’s degree is preferred, applicants will be considered who
possess any combination of education and experience enabling them to

Supply
Chain Manager The Incumbent should
possess: Strong understanding of wind turbine technology; communication
skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to make informative
presentations to audiences; knowledge of manufacturing techniques, wind
turbine technology, and transportation issues. Demonstrated
abilities should include: facilitating to reach a consensus among participants
with diverse opinions; pursuit and initiation of programs with minimal
supervision; effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously; working successfully with highly
varied groups across a broad range of international and organizational lines.
Qualified
applicants may possess any combination of education and experience enabling
them to successfully perform the responsibilities of the position. Preferred qualifications are: BA/BS in technical field, certification as a
Licensed Professional Engineer. Supply chain manufacturing, and/or
procurement experience in a technical field; minimum of five years experience
in a wind energy technical/program management position. Extensive travel is

VP
for Federal Legislative Affairs ·
AWEA’s Policy &
Government Affairs Department leads the Association’s efforts to
develop and shape policies that will promote wind, both at the national and
state level, and advocates for those policies before Congress and federal
agencies, and before state legislatures. The department also works with other
AWEA departments to ensure that those policies are communicated effectively
with AWEA’s members, and with the news media and the public.
As the VP for Federal Legislative Affairs, you will be the lead
contact for the Administration and Members of Congress on matters before
Congress, working under
the direction of the Senior Vice President of Policy and Government Affairs. You will: lead
development and implementation of the business plan for achieving legislative
agenda of AWEA; work with Senior VP on oversight and development of broader
public policy strategy and management; serve
as lead contact with the administration and Congressional leadership; plan
and lead lobbying with Congress and the Administration on all legislation
related to renewable electricity standards, tax policy, carbon regulation,
and transmission; hire and manage legislative staff; identify legislative analysis needs in
coordination with Manager of Policy Analysis; identify legislative
communications needs in cooperation with Communications group; oversee
AWEA’s manager of industry grassroots engagement and the
organization’s PAC; represent AWEA at political fundraising events; work
with AWEA communications staff to develop fact sheets, action alerts, and
newsletter articles; maintain, build and direct the WindPAC political action
committee; help communicate legislative issues and developments to the
membership through various means including writing articles for the Wind
Energy Weekly publication; lead, direct, plan and appraise the work of
AWEA’s Legislative team; perform the manager’s HR
responsibilities for all persons reporting to this position. Your work
will help ensure the wind industry’s continued growth and long term
success. Qualifications: Must
have: B.A. or B.S. with major in political science, or energy issues.
Masters degree preferred in law or political science. Ten years experience
working on Federal legislation preferred including at least three years in a
senior legislative post. Exceptional written and oral communications
skills, with an emphasis on the ability to craft advocacy communications and
to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences. Ability to plan and
execute work, manage staff, and balance numerous, frequently shifting,
priorities. Must have excellent public presentation skills. Must
be able to negotiate and guide stakeholders to consensus. Extensive
familiarity with energy policy issues is very helpful, as is familiarity with
tax policy and environmental policy. Travel: Occasional
