Maurice (25 March 1946-3 June 1991) and Katia Krafft (17 April 1942-3 June 1991), pioneering French volcanologists killed in the eruption of Unzen-dake, 3 June 1991. Welcome to World Volcanism. WV is geared toward a better understanding of the powerful forces at work building the most visible symbol of Nature's will. I strongly encourage all
interested in the world of volcanoes and volcanology to join this group to examine this awesome phenomena. It is also geared towards helping people come to terms with volcanism in their area.
Okay topic material includes volcanology (including cryovolcanism), seismicity, tsunami's, geochemistry, geophysics, planning, hazard awareness/mitigation, survivors issues, scenarios and any books, videos, movies etc to do with volcanoes.
