Welcome to the Western PA Mushroom Club-the largest mushroom club in the ten-state area www.wpamushroomclub.org WPMC sponsors meetings, walks, forays, workshops, newsletters, a mushroom cookbook and other activities to aid members in pursuing their interest in mushrooms. Notice of events and last minute changes can be found here. Club members can exchange information, alert everyone of times of fruiting, and HOT TIPS. Identifying, photographing or eating mushrooms can be a rewarding experience, but it can also be very dangerous. Yahoo Groups is a place to exchange information. Eddee, you should get and use the book that will save you from such unpleasantness! ;-) Your mushroom was likely NOT L. aurantiacum, which is in fact eaten

I have had my own experience with the Leccinum in July. One that i tentatively id as L aurantiacum because it was under pine . It turned a deep violet then
