WS-Notification moving on to OASIS...   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #13 of 29 |
Hi folks!

From the latest issue of OASIS News:

--------------------------------------------------------
* A Call for Participation has been issued for the OASIS Web Services
Notification (WSN) TC. The OASIS WSN TC has been chartered to define a set
of
specifications that standardize the way Web services interact using the
Notification pattern. Interested participants should join by 13 April in
order to contribute to the first meeting on 28 April.

--------------------------------------------------------

Now that WS-Notification has been refactored, note that the "Base" part of
the spec is really about the same size and shape as WS-Eventing.

It is my sincere hope that the WS-Eventing authors will seriously consider
submitting the Eventing spec to the WSN TC as input, and then join the
process of standardizing a One True Asynchronous "Eventification" spec under
the auspices of OASIS.

Yours in the spirit of interoperability,
