Africa has 53 independent states and is in the process turning into
United States of Africa. The presentation proposes that transhumanism
is critical tool for solving the Africa's present problems:
Infrastructure, HIV-AIDS pandemic, Hunger, Poverty, Epidemics and food
security. The author considers important to Identify Key stakeholders
for the transhumanism movement in Kenya and involving them in the
entire process. Transhumanism and emerging technologies will increase
Africa's productivity.

i greet you all fellow humanists,well am writing in regard to the
forthcoming conference.well it was such a great shame that there were
no representaives from the African continent.well i believe its time
africa stood out.we need representation,so am appealing to the board
and the organisers to help in seeing this achieved because i believe
there are lots of ideas that can be shared from Africa too.

Friends,
Its all great what you people are doing.Currently
still in Nairobi for an interview regarding my
passport with our immigration office.Two of us from
Kenya are attending the conference  in Venezuela.I
appreciate the development in WTA-UGANDA chapter.As in
Kenya  we have prepared the constitution waiting to
adopt it immediately we come from Venezuela.Its been a
moment of silence   though making arrangements for the
CARACAS conference and settling down to learn more
with what has been going on.

Every move you take is a development and growth
therefore proceed.I will be back to Mombasa Wednesday
next week then on Thursday come with our lady Ms.
Nasteho ABDI Jumale[SOMALIA] for the visa in
Nairobi.Its a great priviledge knowing everyone
through WTA though we are yet to meet face to face.Not
forgetting there are challenges on perceived and
preconceived mentalities through the emails so we must
be patient with everyone at all level.Even AFTER
meeting still people will have different idealogies
but let us be focussED to spread the objectives of WTA
which are noble and just.

i thank you for the invitation letter to be able to
attend the conference,well i was inquring how i can go
about to get the hotel reservation,i was also equring
whelther you have contacted the Embassy in Kenya and
let them know about my coming.well i will be heading
to Nairobi on 11th Monday or 12th Tuesday so that i
can get the visa,so please let the Embassy know about
my coming so that i dont get hardships there and
please help me get the hotel reservation and please
resend a copy of the invitation that has a signatute
because the copy you sent me didnt have your
signature.Help get this documents so that i can be

I hate to be the one to break this to you but....."Religion" by
definition is  "the belief in and worship of a god or gods, or any
such system of belief and worship."  Any other definition is a
derivation of this definition. In other words if one "exercises or
reads religiously" The usage of the word is meant to invoke the
adherence to a practice so strict that is mandated by a deity (in
other words, the one true definition).  So, in short, you cannot have
a "athiest religion"! At least not in reality!
   Furthermore, a belief need not have any factual basis. It is a
misnomer to say that "one beliefs in reality". For example, the
reality is that the world is an ovoid sphere.  You can choose to
belief it or not but the fact is irrefutable. It cannot be believed
into being flat, by any amount of religous or pseudo=religous faith!
You are entitled to believe in anything that you wish, even that
atheism is a religion or a belief system (which it, by definition
cannot be,since it is a statement of reality).  You do not have
so "seek reality". You are surrounded by it, encompassed by and part
of it! Those who believe that some omnipotent, omni-benevolent,
omniscient being or beings exist simply to care-take over man kind
have to "seek-reality" in the madness and make believe world they
have created.

technologies that enable everyone to enjoy better minds, better
bodies and better lives. Transhumanist Declaration: (1) Humanity will
be radically changed by technology in the future. We foresee the
feasibility of redesigning the human condition, including such
parameters as the inevitability of aging, limitations on human and
artificial intellects, unchosen psychology, suffering, and our
confinement to the planet earth. (2) Systematic research should be
put into understanding these coming developments and their long-term
consequences. (3) Transhumanists think that by being generally open
and embracing of new technology we have a better chance of turning it
to our advantage than if we try to ban or prohibit it. (4)
Transhumanists advocate the moral right for those who so wish to use
technology to extend their mental and physical (including
reproductive) capacities and to improve their control over their own
lives. We seek personal growth beyond our current biological
limitations. (5) In planning for the future, it is mandatory to take
into account the prospect of dramatic progress in technological
capabilities. It would be tragic if the potential benefits failed to
materialize because of technophobia and unnecessary prohibitions. On
the other hand, it would also be tragic if intelligent life went
extinct because of some disaster or war involving advanced
technologies. (6) We need to create forums where people can
rationally debate what needs to be done, and a social order where
responsible decisions can be implemented. (7) Transhumanism advocates
the well- being of all sentience (whether in artificial intellects,
humans, posthumans, or non- human animals) and encompasses many
principles of modern humanism. Transhumanism does not support any
particular party, politician or political platform.

Hello Members,
Am posting to thank Jelon,for his contribution,but i also want to make
some comment on your postings,i thinks those are great ideas and aims
of all members of this chapter. I f you are a memmber of this
chapter,you are entittled to follow atleast what Jelon have posted.

But with WTA-Uganda,we will soon start writting our constitution which
will be posted here for review,and we think that everybody will have to
contribute, we would have started now but see,me and racheal cannot
start doing this alone,we need your attention ,and the only way we can
see your attention is through posting and discussing issues here,but
most of you are quite.
I know you must be busy with someother activities,but please save some
time for this growing chapter if we are to go on trhe next step.

The objectives of the WTA are:

1) To facilitate interaction, communication and discussion among Transhumanists living in the Greater Uganda Areas.

2) To promote Transhumanism within the WTA.

3) To help Transhumanists in the WTA increase their knowledge and wisdom through the arrangement of such things as events and guest speakers.

4) To provide a focal point for anyone in the WTA interested in learning more about Transhumanism.

5) To assist people living in the WTA in adapting to, understanding and applying advanced technologies.

6) To create a powerful, rational, pro-technology voice for effecting positive change.

7) To help put into practice the principles of the World Transhumanist Association.

8) To follow the treatment of Transhumanist issues at the municipal, provincial and federal level and report back to the WTA Transhumanist community.
