Hi all,i would like to tell a problem at WUHU author.

I upgrade my internet connection for more speed ,and i have 2-3 times the day
auto disconnection-connection ,and observe after the disconnection the internet
come again auto connection,but WUHU not update data to WU rapid
file.AWEKAS-CW-HAMWEATHER no problem send data auto after
connection-disconnection.

I solve this with closed and open again the WUHU if i am home,but
there is way to fix it ,because if i am not home not send data to WU rapid file.

In general, it is best to paste the text from the log rather than to do screen
captures, otherwise I can only see the beginning of each line of text. To copy
messages from the log, highlight the lines of interest by clicking on them. Once
you have the lines selected, hit the 'Copy Selected' button. The messages are
then in the Windows clipboard. When you compose a message here, just right click
and select 'Paste'.

The code used to send to WU and the other servers is almost identical. I am
wondering if this has something to do with the DNS lookup not working correctly.

The next time this happens, do not exit WUHU, instead attempt to flush the DNS
cache.

Do do this, open a command prompt then type:

ipconfig /flushdns

After this command executes, observe whether WUHU then uploads correctly.

I tried to cut the internet conection manual ,i closed and open the router for
test it ,but is all ok after the new connection,if i see it again i will make
this you advice to me.

PS:I will download the newest WUHU version ,because i have make update over 1
year ago,and i saw many new better things at new version.

I download the new version all is fine ,very new things,congratulation.
I saw the observe the clouds not have the altitute 000 ,and i must make change
at php name photos without 000 ,anyway i have a problem at metar.

On link screen, if you enter a zip code (US only?), you can then click the
Weather Underground icon that will take you to the local conditions page for
your area.

Weather Bug is another web server, I would guess that they support world wide
uploads.

correction from software mm i have 76.2 mm.

I've been tinkering with the METAR screens and I have a question.  I see some of
the data on WU and occasionally on CWOP, but other than that do any of the
weather upload services actually use METAR data uploaded from non-federal
government sanctioned sources?  I know that METARs that are used for aviation
have to come from government certified equipment, but would say a TV or Radio
station actually use a METAR that I published?

Some people upload or email data to their local radio / TV stations. They may or
may not use METAR data.

I am hoping that one day WU will display the METAR reports on the Wundermap as
they do when the reports come from official stations.

I updated my WUHU software in December and ever since the program occasionally
losses com with the station and subsequently creates gaps in data upload.
Relaunching the program corrects. The previous version ran for a year with few
problems. I'm using a Belkin F5U109 USB to RS-232 adapter with led signal
indicators. Were changes made that could have negated the use of this adapter?

In a nutshell no.  The driver is probably most likely the cause, check
to see that you have the latest and greatest driver for the USB/Serial
convert.

And a last question,because i do not readed the group and sorry if you have tell
it again.
Windows 7 work with WUHU software and heavy weather beta 2 ? because i think to
change my windows xp and to use a  notebook with my original usb adaptor
la-crosse and not serial port where i use now my old tower pc .
And with usb adaptor i will have connection direct support port 1 or another
port ? or i will use the heavy weather file curdat list ?

WUHU should run fine under Windows 7 in direct serial mode.

The key is to have a quality USB to serial adapter that supports hardware
handshaking.

Every USB to serial adapter is different as far as the COMx number. I have seen
many assume the COM5 or COM7 ports. You can always edit the advance properties
of the port and renumber the port to COM1.

It is good news.
I have the original usb adaptor La-crosse ,but not use now because i have serial port at my pc.But at future with windows 7 & notebook it will necessary.

I have been browsing around in it and it is going to take some getting used to

Change is always hard for me at my age, but I do like the new format and I think
it will be easier once I learn to navigate through the pages.
