Ok so so far my biggest problem was actually getting the information to FTP to my website..I am happy to say that Dan Lafferty, gave me some good info...buttttttt I am still having an issue.

That is the information that should be appearing on the webpage, is just showing the coding still.
Is there something special I should be doing with that coding?
If you wouldnt mind can you take a look at it (anyone) and maybe help me figure this out.

here is an example of what I am speaking of:
Updated: %[time2]time_12hr_verbose%

what is actually showing up is:
Updated: %[time2]time_12hr_verbose%

I dont get it..

Thanks in advance

I am wondering if these belong in the template file.  I am going to copy them over, but in the interim would you mind looking over this info ...

It looks like your templates are not getting updated with the data from WUHU.  Can you post your action file again?  Make sure you remove your password at least before you post.  No need to show that to everyone.

And what is on your action line in WUHU?  Also do you have your templates, html, and action files in 3 different folders?  You don't have to but it makes it easier to remember what's what.

What type of station do you have?

Note that the currdat.lst output by WUHU should not be the same file used as
input from Heavyweather.

Can you post a link to your website?

http://www.kbaam.com/wuhu/wx4.html <- information wont propagate

http://www.kbaam.com/wuhu/wx5.html <- information wont propagate, but I fully believe I will need to link those to my weather underground graphs or some other type of graph.  Not too terribly worried about page just yet Smile

All templates are in there own folders:
c:\program files\wuhu\html\wx1.html

c:\program files\wuhu\html\wx4.html

c:\programs\wuhu\html\wx4.html
c:\programs\wuhu\html\wx5.html
c:\programs\wuhu\html\wx6.html
c:\programs\wuhu\html\wx7.html

Looking at that info you say the templates are under their own folder but the paths you list don't show the templates at all and actually list the HTML files twice.

Your templates need to be in the c:\program files\wuhu\templates and they should have .txt as a file type rather than .html as you have listed.

Take a look at that and see if it's what your problem is.

If that doesn't fix it I could log in to your computer using Team Viewer if you wanted.

Just so you're clear on this.  The .txt files have the WUHU codes in them.  WUHU takes those files and substitutes the real data and creates the .html files.  If your .html files end up with the codes in them like yours seem to be then you have something else going on.

Remove the index.html file from the WUHU/html folder and wait for an update.  After the update you should now have an index.html file in the WUHU html folder.  If you do then WUHU did what it was supposed to do as far as taking the template and making the new .html file.

Open that new file and verify it has temps and humidity instead of codes.  If it does have codes then it sounds more like you're not writing the extended data quite right.

Howdy,
I'm currently sending my data to wunderground.com, but I need the indoor
temperature available on a website, which wunderground.com doesn't offer (that I
can find anyway). My indoor thermometer is in my greenhouse, so I need to be
able to check the temperature in there online and/or from my phone. Anyone know
of a website that I can send my WUHU data too that offers the indoor temp
online?

Thanks!
Kevin

I don't see any of the supported websites that show indoor temp.  Heath would know better so maybe he'll chime in here.

You could set up a simple website to show that only.  It would be quite simple actually.

This is not something that is currently supported on any of the weather servers
so far as I know.

I would like to see this feature added so that users can have remote sensors to
monitor green houses, refrigerators, furnaces, etc. This is really useful
especially in cold weather environments where the owner would like to remotely
monitor heating systems where a failure could lead to catastrophe such as frozen
/ broken pipes.

Currently, you can setup a program called Growl that can be used in conjunction
with WUHU. You can set limits in your alarms and if any variable including
indoor temperature and humidity fall outside of an acceptable limit, Growl can
fire off an email for you. I currently have this setup in my home working with
Growl and Gmail. I then get notifications on my smartphone.

If we could have &userString that could be sent with the other weather data I
would create a template mechanism for sending the data. There could also be an
option in the station settings to determine whether or not the data should be
publicly view able.

C:\Program Files\WUHU\html\wx5.html
C:\Program Files\WUHU\html\wx6.html

Looking at that info you say the templates are under their own folder but the paths you list don't show the templates at all and actually list the HTML files twice.

Your templates need to be in the c:\program files\wuhu\templates and they should have .txt as a file type rather than .html as you have listed.

Take a look at that and see if it's what your problem is.

If that doesn't fix it I could log in to your computer using Team Viewer if you wanted.

If anyone wants it I can provide it but it's basically taking the outdoor temp row and copying it to a new row and changing outdoor to indoor.  This is done in wx1.txt in the templates folder.

It may have been removed from the active list of stations earlier because of temperature variation compared with nearby stations.  Looking at another close one (KTXGEORG31) its high temp today was only 65.8 while KTXGEORG25 had a high temp of 77.2.  I know WU has some logic in there to hide stations that are varying greatly with others in the area.  Hopefully one of the WU guys that happens to monitor this list may see the thread.  Or alternatively, you can contact them through the support link (help.wunderground.com, then click the Contact Support link on the right).

Turns out it was only the PWS Sticker that wasn't working and it started working
again a couple of hours later. The PWS Sticker is used on the WU page (right
side), my personal Web site, and I have a desktop app that displays it also. It
was empty in all places and on several computers - so must have been the server
side. A Refresh would say Loading... then just blank data. Mystery of the week.
At least it appears I didn't lose any history data.

BTW. I developed the desktop app so I can immediately see when my WX Station
USB data hangs up like it does about once a month from my WMR-100NA. But that
wasn't the problem this time.

I updated the wx1.txt template to include indoor Temp.

Example:
http://weather.lissproductions.com/template/1/
Download:
http://www.lissproductions.org/wuhu_manual/wp-content/plugins/download-monitor/download.php?id=8

The full how to is here:
http://www.lissproductions.org/wuhu_manual/the-wuhu-software-manual/exporting-data-out-of-wuhu/creating-a-website-with-wuhu/

For those of you that want a Indoor webpage, you can look at the variables in the currdat.lst and add them to any of the template pages (wx1,wx2 etc) Make sure you have the Write Extended Data turned on so you get all the extended variables.

Then upload them to your webserver.

So if you wanted like Daily Extremes, there is a section in the currdat.lst for that.

[daily_extremes]
low_indoor_temperature_time = "08:14:43 AM"
low_indoor_temperature_time_hms = "08:14:43"
low_indoor_temperature_deg_C = "17.1"
low_indoor_temperature_deg_F = "62.8"
high_indoor_temperature_time = "12:17:55 AM"
high_indoor_temperature_time_hms = "00:17:55"
high_indoor_temperature_deg_C = "18.4"
high_indoor_temperature_deg_F = "65.1"
low_indoor_humidity_time = "09:23:39 AM"
low_indoor_humidity_time_hms = "09:23:39"
low_indoor_humidity = "31.0"
high_indoor_humidity_time = "08:43:21 AM"
high_indoor_humidity_time_hms = "08:43:21"
high_indoor_humidity = "34.0"

The variables translate to the template pages like:

%[daily_extremes]low_indoor_temperature_time%

So in the template you can do something like:

The indoor low was  %[daily_extremes]low_indoor_temperature_deg_F% deg F at %[daily_extremes]low_indoor_temperature_time%

Which would produce:
The indoor low was  62.8 deg F at 08:14:43 AM

Questions? Let me know.

Oh and I forgot...  Don't have a local web server and want an easy one to install?

http://www.wampserver.com/

Wamp is what I run on my laptop to mess with php and HTML on the fly...

I updated the wx1.txt template to include indoor Temp.

Example:
http://weather.lissproductions.com/template/1/
Download:
http://www.lissproductions.org/wuhu_manual/wp-content/plugins/download-monitor/download.php?id=8

The full how to is here:
http://www.lissproductions.org/wuhu_manual/the-wuhu-software-manual/exporting-data-out-of-wuhu/creating-a-website-with-wuhu/

For those of you that want a Indoor webpage, you can look at the variables in the currdat.lst and add them to any of the template pages (wx1,wx2 etc) Make sure you have the Write Extended Data turned on so you get all the extended variables.

Then upload them to your webserver.

So if you wanted like Daily Extremes, there is a section in the currdat.lst for that.

[daily_extremes]
low_indoor_temperature_time = "08:14:43 AM"
low_indoor_temperature_time_hms = "08:14:43"
low_indoor_temperature_deg_C = "17.1"
low_indoor_temperature_deg_F = "62.8"
high_indoor_temperature_time = "12:17:55 AM"
high_indoor_temperature_time_hms = "00:17:55"
high_indoor_temperature_deg_C = "18.4"
high_indoor_temperature_deg_F = "65.1"
low_indoor_humidity_time = "09:23:39 AM"
low_indoor_humidity_time_hms = "09:23:39"
low_indoor_humidity = "31.0"
high_indoor_humidity_time = "08:43:21 AM"
high_indoor_humidity_time_hms = "08:43:21"
high_indoor_humidity = "34.0"

There's also XAMPP which is similar to WAMPP but has a version for any operating system.
