You can get the same effect by hitting yourself on the head with a stick - in a
stimulating way!
Use a specially made stick for this purpose. A light bamboo cane will suffice.
Anything heavier and your brain damage might get a bit worse.
Hit the left side of your head ten times, and then (the really clever
neuroscience bit), hit the other side ten times. Tip - usually this is the right
side.
More advanced users can try using two canes and work the rhythmic
"neurostimulator" from both sides at once (yes, the left side AND the right side
AT THE SAME TIME). With practice you can get a lot of hits focused into a very
small time frame, thus giving you more time for other alternative interventions
such as alternate nostril bunging, alternate earhole bunging, alternate stepping
(walking), alternate winking, alternate looking (tennis spectating) etc.
Neurostick stimulation can be conducted whilst reading the newspaper, practicing
soduku, crossword puzzles, jogging, watching tv, pogoing, teaching secondary
school pupils, in time to music, mozart etc.
This is exactly as well supported by cognitive research as superbrainyoga, if
not more or less so.
Experiment! Adjust to taste!
