Hi jaques,

I have read the thread over there, and I know Robin Leadbeater.

wxAstroCapture has the ability to save the number of bits coming from
the camera, 8 bit for webcams, 16 bit for Artemis/ATK. In both cases you
have the ability to control on-screen display manually or automatically.

As Robin points out, the limitation of the display does not affect the
saved images.
