I have Patrick's hub compiling and appearing to operate correctly on OSX
10.3.9.  I suspect I must have tweaked some of the files to get it to
compile as some files' timestamps are newer.  I can tar/gzip what I have
and send to you if you'd like.

A long time ago I modified a python engine itself to make it xAP aware - slightly different from what you are doing, it effectively becomes a self-contained...

ISTR there's a Perl hub around somewhere if that helps... and there's quite a bit of work E's done with Perl for the xAP SlimServer plugin that might be useful...
