Way cool, Doc Bliny. In a related vein, I did a mini-survey of formatting conventions in playlist blogs:

What struck me about those conventions is that there are representatives of all the major aspects of digital packaging -- a graphic for visual impact, inline players to integrate the browsing/playing experience, metadata about each song, and comments to allow interactivity, not to mention easy and direct access to the music files themselves.
I think that what's happening in the wild is that the stuff that packaging is expected to deliver is mutating and evolving, but the demand for packaging as a whole is staying the same. For some meaning of "album", there is still strong demand for "albums".
