The XMetaL-DITA group was started by Bright Path Solutions and initially moderated by Kay Whatley. It is a private effort by a team of individuals and is not a corporate project. The goal of the group is to educate XMetaL users in working with the DITA standard.

Re: upgrading from 5.1 to 6?
I can report that my upgrade went well. There will be a few little hoops to jump through to get everything working again, but in the end it's all working fine.

P.S. It's just been pointed out to me that "DITA" is in the name of this mailing list, so you don't have to tell us what DTD or XSD you're using ... Su-Laine

Hi Dave, Lots of people are using SVG and EPS in their XML files and producing nice output from it. I don't know of specific users of CGM files in XMetaL, but

I asked for an Upgrade Guide, but was told there wasn't one. I also asked about installing side-by-side, and was told 6 wouldn't run with another version

When it asked me to uninstall 5.5, I backed off!!! I ended up submitting a ticket asking for some doc and guidance. Has anyone seen an Upgrade Guide or
