I would like to clarify one aspect of my post which I just wrote:

Obviously, I meant to say "if you wish to have a higher chance of the
editor being able to communicate with you". I certainly did not mean
to imply that we always, or even automatically (heaven forbid!)
reject sites - this is certainly not the case. Sometimes, the email
address is used even when the site is accepted. :)

Whoops. Guess I'd better read my posts a bit better. :)
