XO Wavers,

Lots of news for you! The highlights are:

- XO Wave 0.16.2: This includes some major "under the hood" reworking,
which should make things run a lot more smoothly. This is primarilly a
result of rewriting I did for the open source PortAudio library (check
out www.portaudio.com for more info on PortAudio). More details below.

- Songs 4 Bugs: We are trying out a new program to thank people for
submitting bug reports by giving them $10 gift certificates to iTunes
Music stores. See www.xowave.com/songs4bugs.shtml for details and
qualifications.

- Web-Site: the web-site itself has been moved to a new provider and we've
added some content, like a new podcasting tutorial, and, of course, the
Songs 4 Bugs program. Check it out: www.xowave.com.

XO Wave 0.16.2b changes:

Major changes:
- Major PortAudio changes integrated into XOW for Mac OS X. This allows
things like sample-rate conversion when the hardware doesn't support the
session sample rate.

Fixed:
- Fixed bug which caused incorrect display and behavior of Session
Overview when opening a new session or a new edit window.
- Fixed up Advanced Audio Engine dialog so it behaves better.
- Show Audio Engine menu when no windows are displayed.
- Fixed error message (-31) which erroneously suggested that audio
hardware was in use.
- Input device is now only opened when recording, which should reduce load
and errors for people with incompatible input devices.
- Fixed bug in peak/hold mode of compressor which sometimes caused
compression not to ease off.
- By default, dither is always selected when it is available in the export
dialogs.

Enhancements:
- allow users to change track name in edit window channel strip.

Other changes:
- Internal build changes.
