Thanks for your comments. unfortunately, ducking is not really possible
with the current version, though we plan to implement it in the future. In
general, I recomend volume automation as an alternative.
For what it's worth, you could get ducking by some complex track routing
trickery, but I'm not sure it's worth it, since it requires understanding
the routing so that you can appropriately set levels.
If it is worth it, here's how:
- create a stereo speech track. (track 1)
- create a stereo audio track. pan it to the right. (track 2)
- create a mix track. (track 3)
- assign the output from track 2 to track 3.
- assign the routing of track 3 to output only it's right track to the
main output.
- add an aux send to track 1. set it to go to the left channel of track 3.
That should do it, though obviously a real ducking feature would be
better.
