XO Wavers:

I am pleased to announce that a mac-only prerelease of the upcoming
0.19.0 version of XO Wave is available now. Before I tell you how and
where to get it, I need to tell you one quick thing: It's not well
tested. Really: I don't even consider this beta-quality yet, which is
why I'm announcing it here and not publicly. If you are working on
something import, please, keep using the old version!

But I also know some of you are itching to get your hands on the new
prerelease, so you can find that prerelease here: http://

Please tell me what you think and I will try to update it whenever I
make substantial progress towards 0.19.0. I won't make lots more
announcements, though, so check for the little update icon in the
transport area and go back to the above URL if it turns red.

Some of the dizzying number of new XO Wave features include:

* Gain Matrix Effect: for tons of gain, for swapping channels or
inverting phase, for MS decoding, for stereo widening, for mono
compatibility checking.... It's the swiss army knife of gain!
* Envelope Generator Effect: for ducking, auto-wah, and other cool
dynamic effects. You can invent your own dynamically controlled
effects using the envelope generator. It's so cool I can't even put
it in words -- you'll just have to play around with it.
* Support for Sassafras K2 KeyServer. (Academics go Woo-Hoo!)
* Improved main meter. (now you can see it big!)
* ripple and query now work with Memory locations, including CD Track
Markers. Very groovy!
* improved pause behavior. No Kidding. Stop. It's Great. Stop.
* improved and unified import options, so no more confusing "import
as playlist" nonsense.
* And a wildly improved look. Wow! No really. Take a look:
