Centro, a Chicago-based media services and technology company, is seeking a
software testing professional who embraces Agile methodologies.
This role has a strong emphasis on writing and maintaining automated acceptance
and regression tests.

Key Job Functions:
•Collaborate with customers, end users, developers and other team members to
clarify business requirements, define acceptance criteria, and create test cases
•Conduct black box testing of web applications to verify functional and
non-functional requirements
•Work with developers and other team members to automate acceptance and
regression tests
•Verify, reproduce and document defects; assist in defect triage and cause
analysis
•Help define and measure quality-related metrics for tracking progress and
driving success
•Define and implement performance, load and stress tests
•Improve testing strategy and practices throughout the technology and customer
teams
•Educate and mentor other team members on testing practices and tools

Qualifications:
•At least two years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Software Testing
role
•Experience working on Agile teams; strong understanding of Agile methodologies
and Agile testing practices
•Experience with open source testing tools
•At least one year of experience with a scripting or programming language (Ruby
or JavaScript a plus)
•Understanding of relational databases; ability to write basic SQL queries
•Experience in context-based, exploratory, or scenario testing a plus
•Comfortable working on a self-organizing team where you coordinate with team
members to determine your tasks each day rather than waiting for work to be
assigned
•Bachelor's degree in CS or related discipline is preferred; other applicants
