really the only difference between the 124 and the 124G is that the G uses gold
for the contacts in the meter. I have a Yashica MAT EM that also takes
outstanding pictures. The optics used in the seagulls are not even close.
A couple of questions for you. Are you shooting color or black and white? Do
you develop your own black and white film and do you have a darkroom?

just purchased a 124. Not the much sought after G. This camera

killer photos very sharp. I shot a test roll in the back yard after
buying it on Ebay for less than 50 bucks. Even the guy at the camera
shop commented on how incredibly sharp the photos were when I picked
up the finished prints. I will be taking some photos locally at on
some mountains.
These cameras are a great entrance to medium format. I tried a
seagull in the past. The photos were now where near the quality of
the yashica 124.
