I am doing color right now. I plan on doing some black and white when I get
some time for it. I don't develop or enlarge my own. No room for it in the
house right now. And there is a shop in town that does medium format in an
hour. They do a great job and reasonable. So there is no need to gear up for
that. My computer had issuues recently. As soon as I get it going right again
I will do some scans of recent photos and up load them. I have also gotten a
scanner that does medium format film just for use with this camera.

really the only difference between the 124 and the 124G is that the
G uses gold for the contacts in the meter. I have a Yashica MAT EM that also
takes outstanding pictures. The optics used in the seagulls are not even
close.
A couple of questions for you. Are you shooting color or black and white? Do
you develop your own black and white film and do you have a darkroom?

just purchased a 124. Not the much sought after G. This camera takes
killer photos very sharp. I shot a test roll in the back yard after
buying it on Ebay for less than 50 bucks. Even the guy at the camera
shop commented on how incredibly sharp the photos were when I picked
up the finished prints. I will be taking some photos locally at on
some mountains.
These cameras are a great entrance to medium format. I tried a
seagull in the past. The photos were now where near the quality of
the yashica 124.
