Hi Jason, Sorry I can't help you on this one. Although I'm computer literate I don't use Yahoo Mail more than I have to so I can't explain what such errors are. Actually, I see your email was addressed to: yattach-support@yahoogroups.com but I don't know why it came through to me as I am not part of the support group and don't work for Yahoo!!!???
Kind regards, Linden.

Hi, I'm a quite illiterate w/ computers so bare w/ me please...
Ok, 2 things...... Getting that error 500 that others are getting, then
when I hit the link where it says support forum or "email me", I
recieved an error that said "object reference not set to an instance
of an object".
Maybe that's an easy solution to my problem? I truly am illiterate w/
this, sorry.
Thanks for the help.

Hi, I'm a quite illiterate w/ computers so bare w/ me please...
Ok, 2 things......Getting that error 500 that others are getting, then
when I hit the link where it says support forum or "email me", I
recieved an error that said "object reference not set to an instance
of an object".
Maybe that's an easy solution to my problem? I truly am illiterate w/
this, sorry.
Thanks for the help.

Hi Steve, I believe there is a new version of yAttach coming out around mid Jan and, hopefully, that will solve many of the issues that are present with the current version. Apart from that I can't really suggest a fix for the problem you have as I use Vista and not XP! Sorry about that.
Regards,
Linden.

I just installed yAttach on an XP machine.
I am working in Firefox in an iteration with two tabs open, neither of
which is a Yahoo mail page.
I clicked on <File> and then <Send Link> in one of the pages.
The yAttach dialog box opened up with the message "Logging in to Yahoo
Mail..." on the bottom and the green bar going round and round, in the
center.

It has now been doing that for about 15 minutes.
What is not working correctly????

Hi Ken,
There are a few issues for some people with the version of yAttach!
that's currently available.
Sit tight for a few days - there's a new major version of the software
due out in the middle of January. I'll drop you a line to let you know
it's launched.
All the best,
Chris
"The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error." I
get this right when it says it's saving to my drafts.
The gAttach works great.
I'm running IE7 (all the latest patches). I am running Vista Ultimate
32 bit edition (all latest patches).
I am able to log into my Yahoo email account just fine in my browser.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Ken
Hi there Linden,
If I understand you correctly, you had yAttach! installed on your
machine and even if you weren't using it directly, it stopped you
using Yahoo! Mail on your computer in either Internet Explorer of
Firefox?
If my understanding is correct, then I can only say that it really
can't have been yAttach! that was the cause. Any message saying that
you don't have permission to do something comes from a remote web
server rather than from your computer. Obviously, yAttach! has no
control over the Yahoo! web server's permissions configuration.
Alternatively, if you only got the message whilst actually using
yAttach!, it's most likely a proxy server issue. Use in this
situation requires additional functionality which will be present in
the next version.
All the best,
Chris

I downloaded yAttach but then found I couldn't access my Yahoo Mail
account, either from Firefox or IE. I kept getting a message that I
did not have permission to access the Yahoo Mail URL. I uninstalled
yAttach and I'm now back to normal!
Hi Christian,
Thanks for this - I'll send you a private message to take things
further and post back here when everything's resolved.

Hi Chris,
Most of the time I'm getting this error message:
C:\Documents and Settings\Christian\Application
Data\Mapi2Xml\2EB64247-8F93-4988-8C4B-643DD435DE03\ALogic.config
exceeds Yahoo's maximum size for individual attachments.
Your yAttach did work at one time. I believe FireFox 3.0 is the only
thing that changed. The problem with that message is I can get it
even when sending files around 500 bytes in size (not MB, bytes).
Cheers,
Christian
Hi Chris,
I'm getting the following error message:
An unhandled exception ('Invalid argument.') occurred in yAttach.exe
[5556].
&Manually choose the debugging engines.
When I let it debug the issue in Visual Studio 2005 it highlights the
following javascript code:
this.B.style.width=O+"px";

Christian

Okay, I'll try to send some e-mails out. However, since we're both
clear that there are some issues with FireFox 3.0 would you please add
some code to have yAttach use IE instead on those systems? I'm using
IE 6.01 SP1, which I assume is supported?
PS: Did you know that your program was mentioned on Windows Weekly a
popular internet radio show? (www.TWIT.tv)
Thanks,
Christian

Hi Christian,
Please do pass on any detail you can. I've recently dealt with some
issues in yAttach!'s sister product, gAttach!, so I suspect they may
be similar but it's good to check anyway.

Chris
