Hi... I have seen a number of "on line" examples where the user
provides 2 addresses and the mileage and driving directions are
returned. I am looking for an API - example of this that returns the
text where I can include this in a web page.

... Patrick, I'm not sure if this is available, but the right place to get it would be in one of the Yahoo! Maps or Local APIs. You can find more information...
