To comply with the horrible new EU law about cookies in the UK we have to give
users the opportunity to reject cookies. There are several scripts (some free)
that are able to block Google Analytics and Ask This cookies but nothing to deal
with the cookies that the Yahoo player generates when a page loads. Does anyone
know whether these can be "switched off" without affecting the working of the
player please? And if so, how it is achieved.

Thanks!

Hi all

time ago (at times of beta release) I successfully installed yhoomediaplayer on
my website, to autoplay some MP3s, see:
http://solyaris.altervista.org/

suddendly I realize that now javascript no more load MP3s.

Re-reading documentation, I noted that script name to call changed...:

so I changed the call in source code of my page, from :

<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://webplayer.yahooapis.com/player-beta.js"></script>

to:

<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://webplayer.yahooapis.com/player.js"></script>

but the the behaviour is the same: MP3s are no more loaded and played (a
run-time icon appear "Playback time-out...blabla")

someone could help me ?

thanks

Hi there,

I've seen some posts in here about over riding the play button and link style
with CSS and was hoping someone could help me out.

The page I am implementing the player on has a custom fancy link class using
CSS, but the audio link style seem to get changed by the player.

Any quick and easy way to over-ride how the media player changes the link style,
so the link style will reflect the CSS on my page?

Thanks!

Hi,I'm using the ywp on my site. It works fine for .mp3 links but Chrome
throws error for .xspf playlist links:Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read

<http://www.iwebformusicians.com/Website-Music-Players/Yahoo-Media-Playe\

visitors have to manually open the player. I need a page with 5-10
playlist links but this way this page becomes nonesense as links won't
jump to the required section but visitors have to look up in the player
where that playlist is.Any ideas how to solve this?Thanks in

This happened to me too. I was able to fix it by upgrading the lightbox script I
also had running on the page. So it might be a conflicting script you have on
your page causing it.

my question: can I switch it off?
The webplayer is good and easy, but it's too easy I think. We don't have any
features to design or configure that.
And the italic textlinks are bad. Why is the text so italic now?

From the fact that Yahoo has not been approving emails to the
moderator, I deduce that the company isn't currently putting many
resources into the player. Therefore this mailing list is self help or
nothing.

So if you see somebody asking a question, and in the past you would
have left it to a yahoo person to answer, you should step up and help
out.

Hi,

To ignore YouTube links please add the following code before loading the
WebPlayer:
<script type="text/javascript">
     var YWPParams =
     {
         linkConfig:
         {
             youtube: 'ignore'
         }
     };
</script>

Regarding the italic textlinks, this is going to get fixed soon.
