On any mobile website, we can read the IP address from which the
request was initiated (a gateway IP I mean).
When it comes to Y! widget, I always get an IP located in the united
states (info from http://ip-to-country.webhosting.info). I suppose
this IP is Yahoo's server IP, hosted in the USA.
Is there a way to get an IP closer to the end user in the network ?
Advertisers often request the IP address so that they can localized
adverts from this piece of information.
