I haven't used Yahoo!'s Messenger in some time. My preference is Gaim,
which can connect to AIM, Yahoo!, MSN, ICQ, and others, all at the
same time. I've also heard that kopete is good...there are a few
others that do the same thing.

But, if your heart is set on Yahoo! Messenger, then I think that you
can enter the command "ymessenger" from an X console window.
The program should be located in /usr/bin/ and needs to be run in an X
session like KDE or Gnome.

I assume that you are using redhat/Fedora based Linux. Go to > Internet > More internet applications > Yahoo Messenger. -Avijit ... Truth Exists, Only Lies are...
