Dan,
It turns out that all of these below queries / exact query times do not even appear in our BOSS logs, as even being received by us. (regardless of error code, on our side)
Question: Are you going through any type of intermediary proxy (or other device) that you are aware of, where that device is what is occasionally returning the 500 error codes back...? (it seems like)
Curious,
Jay

Hi Jay,
Here are our five most recent, all of which happened at our 2 Amsterdam nodes, though those also are the nodes doing the most queries to BOSS of our nodes so it may just be that the odds of it happening are higher there.
Most were searching for the same query. The error code we receive is '500' for all of these.
Query: http://boss.yahooapis. com/ysearch/ web/v1/www? appid=REMOVED& format=json
Times:
Nov 12 19:26:45 UTC
Nov 12 19:26:44 UTC
Nov 12 19:26:18 UTC
Nov 12 19:26:02 UTC
Nov 12 19:26:02 UTC
and here's 4 others from a second node in Amsterdam.
Query: http://boss.yahooapis. com/ysearch/ web/v1/www. ?appid=REMOVED& format=json
Times:
Nov 11 21:37:05 UTC
Nov 11 21:29:56 UTC
Nov 11 21:29:53 UTC
Query: http://boss.yahooapis. com/ysearch/ web/v1/www. orbitz.com? appid=REMOVED& format=json
Time:
Nov 11 08:28:26 UTC
On a side note, we're just coming out of beta on this project that is using BOSS and are interested in Yahoo's targeted ad system - do you know who I should email/talk to regarding that?
Thanks,
-Dan
