Hiya,

I was asked by my friend to implement a "gizmo" for her growing list or
stories from travels, a world map that would have points and areas that
trigger sections with links to appear. After long search for a
solution I used a flash map:

which was fine, but people did not know how to use it.

I now implemented yahoo map with geoRSS based overlay:
http://alicja-sl.republika.pl/podroze-new.htm
but it also has disqualifying annoyance that it tries to open <link>
in new window, which obviously is not what I want.

So my question is, is it possible to have markers interact with map
parent via javascript?
Side-question: is there a way to have markers have names displayed?
