Hello,
Is there a Yahoo! Search or Yahoo! Travel API that will allow me to
search destinations and display hotels and attractions on my site?
Thanks,
Adam.
Hi, I am developing a travel website, and i was wondering how i could
add a yahoo webservice like trip planner to my website. could someone
tell me exactly how this is done?
I am using dreamweaver to develop my website, if that makes any
difference.
thanks a ton
Hi everybody. I am new on yahoo travel. I was looking for some travel
web service that could be find a hotel, car and air fairs calling a
WSDL, but when i could see only java classes on the sdk zip file.
Is yahoo travel enabling web service connection? Any clue for where i
can find these kind of servers (xmethods doesnt have anything)?
Thanks a lot
I suspect you might not be in the right place. This group is for software developers who are creating web sites and applications that integrate with Yahoo! Travel. It's not a general-purpose travel discussion group.
Sorry for any confusion.

Hello,
I like to know how many of
you in the travel industry are Travel Consultants? or Travel Agent?
but is there any difference between these two?
One is service fee, and the other one is working on commission?

Check this http://theurer.cc/. They
explain, how to use JSON support given by Yahoo Travel Trip Planner API and have
built this example site at http://theurer.cc/code/jsonSamples/jsonTravel.html
. And its pretty cool.

You should be getting tripplans returned now.
API returns only public tripplans with 3+ items in it. Also the search
queries are cached and so there can be a delay before appearing in the
api results.

Yahoo Maps API are likely to have an api to provide driving time. And in case, they dont, you can ask for such an api in their mailing list.

Hi there,
I've started playing around with the Travel Search API, and when
attempting to search for one of my public trips, I keep getting 0
results returned to me.
My call is as follows:
http://api.travel.yahoo.com/TripService/V1/tripSearch?appid=YahooDemo&output=jso\

I'm not sure what I'm missing, but I've set my trip's status to
"Public" when I'm logged into my Yahoo! Travel console.
Any ideas as to what may be the cause of the problem?
Great to know that its working for you.

@@@@@ Docs @@@@
"Note that the trip plan you are retrieving must be accessible to
your Yahoo! user ID (either owned by you or shared), or must be a
public trip plan."),
@@@@@@@@@@@@
the above doc need to be fixed. Currently, your trip must be public to
be accessible by API.
We are currently working with Yahoo Security team to come up with a
best way to access a private trip plan and the corresponding
authentication required.

Hi Zack,
This is intended behavior. As we currently don't offer an option to
login via the API, we can't display private user data.

I have a test trip that has the id of: 393819 (created with Yahoo user
ID webative)"Vegas - Webative Vegas Off-Site"
I have an Application ID that is xxxxxx (created with Yahoo user
ID triptify)
When I make the trip public, I am able to get data with the following
path:
http://api.travel.yahoo.com/TripService/V1/getTrip?appid=xxxxxx&id=393
819
When I make it private, but share it with yahoo user ID triptify ( I
assume that this is the way to do it from the info on the developer
site "Note that the trip plan you are retrieving must be accessible to
your Yahoo! user ID (either owned by you or shared), or must be a
public trip plan."), but I get an error:
-
<Error>
The following errors were detected:
<Message>There's no trip data available right now</Message>
</Error>
I guess i don't understand how to share a private trip with my
xxxxxx Application ID (which I guessed was tied to my triptify
Yahoo ID).
Thanks for your help.
