Bonjour,

Following the previous remark made by James Diffendaffer, your
group will be cut off the list of groups receiving the latest news of
the Sinclair ZX81 and the Timex TS1000...Unless someone replies in
favor of continuing to receive the monthly news.

Now here are the (maybe last) latest NEWS for you about the ZX81.

    "EROTICA", is available NOW at
http://www.mattrudge.net/cgc2006/games.html. GO there and PLAY game #
21.

"U.F.O.", the last program from the series "5 ARCADE GAMES" will
be out in September.

"SUDOKU" from Stafford White will be on your ZX81 or Timex
TS1000 soon.

Also in the making, "IN BETWEEN", a ACEY DEUCEY card game from
ANDRE***.

"YOOGOR", the all-animation adventure game featuring "YOO",
already seen in "ZXOKO-BAN" and "IZXOLA" will be the hero who you
must help to find his lost shield and... guide him back to his castle.

MAKE A PROGRAM, SEND IT and WIN!
"http://www.ts1000.us/2006contest.html" offers a ZX81 to the winner!

You think your program is crappy and
rotten? "http://www.mattrudge.net"
has a CRAP GAME CONTEST. Send it there.

What are you waiting for? Be creative! We are waiting for your
games!

Bonjour James,

This guy....brings to the ZX81 and Timex 1000/1500 fans new programs for their computers, new pictures made with these computers and NEWS about these computers.

Bringning news and free programs is not spamming. Trying to sell you something is spamming.

As for the zxgate projects, I have not seem any of your projects being posted or discussed.

My projects for the ZX community is to make new programs and I deliver.  I am willing to discuss the value of the programs and the (better) techniques used in coding the programs.

Hope to hear about your project(s),  ANDRE***

Still can't find the problem - it's just not generating video data... :(

Is anyone running with the *latest* release of T80? i.e. running with
'T80se' rather than 'T80s'???

When I started to download it earlier I got 1MB and had to cancel the

Tonight I went to finish the download and I ended up with a 12K file.
Something weird is going on.

If you can write a ZX81 program, there are two (2) websites having
a contest. "http://www.ts1000.us/2006contest.htm" and
"http://www.mattrudge.net/cgc2006. Try your luck! Show up your talent!

That URL was wrong and I was able to download the file from

That would be very kind; open it whenever suits, and I'll let you know
when I've grabbed it. It shouldn't take long.

Thanks; this is probably easiest.

Doesn't want to work for me - I've probably offended the Sinclair gods
in a previous life ;)

I actually downloaded the files from sourceforge only a few days ago. I do
notice, however, that since then I haven't been able to access it. Something
has broken but I've little doubt it'll be fixed when the right people are
notified...

There's not a lot of data there and would be easily shared via email if
anyone wants a copy...

I think sourceforge has lost the files. I dont think i ever managed to get
them from there, and now there is a nice big error about missing files on SF.

Someone here posted a archive of their own some time ago, and i got a copy
while i could.

You should be able to get most everything from zxgate.sourcefourge.net
although the z80 code is from opencores.org

If it is just one particular bit you can not get I'll send that to you

Thanks - it would seem 6.5MHz is indeed the correct frequency, however
I am still getting no video output.

Under simulation I'm getting hsync and vsync at the correct times and
they appear to be the correct width. However, there's no video data.

Was wondering how long it takes before something appears on the
screen. There's no vsync until 600ms, then it's regular. I've
simulated up to 1s and so far nothing - but it could be that the
screen is still blank waiting for the rom to initialise?

Anyway, not sure what else could be wrong - I'll try simulating for
longer... any ideas anyone?

Mark

Is it no video on the screen or no logic output at all?

I'm porting ZX01 to the Altium NanoBoard.
<http://members.iinet.net.au/~msmcdoug/pace/Nanoboard/nanoboard.html>

Trying to figure out the 'clock' frequency to feed into the zx01xr
entity. By my quick calculations it should be 6MHz??? But I'm not
getting any video output.

Can someone tell me what it should be?

Bonjour James,
I thank you for your reply. I do not create programs specialy for a ZX81 group but for everyone who like a good (brain) game.
Since your group is mostly an hardware group, brain activities being what you like, a good brain game should relax you. The programs are there to be enjoyed freely.
I do also "play" with hardware projets like adding real keyboards, special electronic boards to recover dammaged tapes, wiring allowing extra memory etc...

Bonjour,

The truly UNBELIEVABLE program, "ALIEN MIND" is available now
at "http://www.zx-team.de/andre". It is my best program released so
far. Better coding, better graphics and better animation.

If you are to try one ZX81 program, try "ALIEN MIND".

"5 ARCADE GAMES" will be available starting in May. It
includes :BOMB, LASER, GOALIE, PICMAN and UFO. Each of these programs
can be played on a basic ZX81 with only 1KB of ram. All the flavors
of the 80s are back with these programs..

Write a program for the ZX81 to win in a contest which marks the 25
years of the ZX81 in 2006. All the infos at "http://www.ts1000.us".

Bonjour,

You must have noticed, "ALIEN MIND" is not available yet. It will
be released at the MICROFAIR to be held in Fulda, Germany during the
week-end of the 10 to the 12 of March. http://www.zx-team.de

After March 12, "ALIEN MIND", my best program so far will be
made available.

A NEW (French) web site offers a very good publicity for the
game. The French name of the game is "BIZARROIDE".
http://zx81.ordi5.free.fr/andre/andre.htm

Remember, 2006, we are celebrating the 25th year of the ZX81. Why
not writing to your favorite magazine(s), forum(s), paper(s) to put
the ZX81 back in the top news for this year.

XavSnap, a new (old) fan of the ZX81 is scanning the pages of a
French magazine from the 80s titled ORDI-5. http://zx81.ordi5.free.fr

Also, he will be releasing a newer version of the emulator VB81.

The ZX81 is on the move, ANDRE***

Bonjour,

2006 IS THE 25th YEAR OF THE ZX81

For that occasion the ZX-TEAM club has organized a world meeting
for all the ZX81 users and Timex Sinclair TS1000 users. See their web
site for more infos. http://www.zx-team.de

Their is also a programmer contest that will run all year. And
the grand prize will be an original genuine ZX81 kit. See the
following web site for more infos. http://www.ts1000.us

In March 2006, I will release my best program so far, "ALIEN
MIND". With better graphics, better animation, it is truly a more
UNBELIEVABLE program. At the web site http://www.zx-team.de/andre,
you can read ZX-91, the newsletter, You can admire the pictures made
with the ZX81. You can select from the list the emulator of your
choice to play games like "ZXOKO-BAN", INZXEC", "ZX-A-
MINE", "ZXNAKE2", "ZXENIUS", etc... which can be downloaded free.

"ALIEN MIND" is an original brain game. During the game you are
facing a wall dotted with shelves with or without boxes on them. Some
boxes are useful, some boxes are useless, some boxes must be moved
and some boxes must not be moved, but all the boxes can fall of the
shelves.

A small alien living in a two dimensional world can walk on the
air and must successfully push the "X" box unto the "X" shelf. He can
only push, one box at a time.

The program is entierly and only written with Sinclair ZX81 basic.
It features 30 different levels to solve and uses a 32 X 24 screen,
but it requires only 16kb of RAM.
